Access to Nursing & Healthcare Professions alumni, Rose Anne Gacho, was recently awarded the runner-up award for the Access Prize 2021- 22. The award was presented to her by the Laser Learning Awards, the awarding body validated the Access to Higher Education Diploma Rose Anne completed at North Kent College this year.
Further education providers across Kent will come together early next year for the launch of four exciting and innovative business focused learning centres to support the region’s transition to Net Zero.
The Apprentice Paperhanger of the year competition takes place to demonstrate the skills that employers and colleges are developing for the future of the decorating industry. It encourages excellence from the start and trainee decorators get the chance to showcase their skills at the annual Apprenticeship Paperhanger of the Year Competition.
In October, fashion students from our Tonbridge campus had the opportunity to visit an exclusive preview titled ‘Body Beautiful-Diversity on the Catwalk’. The exhibition was curated by Georgina Ripley and the exhibition focused on embracing diversity and body positivity in the fashion industry.
To mark the end of Black History Month, Miskin Acting and Technical Theatre students took part in a closing celebration comprising of multiple activities throughout the day. The event was held on 1st November at the Miskin Theatre in our Dartford Campus.
The fourth Kent and Medway Apprentice Graduation Ceremony took place with a formal ceremony at Rochester Cathedral. The Apprentice Graduation is the county's annual ceremony recognising the incredible achievement of apprentices.
The Lee Stafford Education Foundation has been named the winner of the first-ever ‘Education Expert’ category at the annual Most Wanted Awards. The awards ceremony recognises the finest individuals in the industry and is held at the spectacular Tate Modern in London.
A round of applause followed the ribbon cutting and plaque unveiling at North Kent College, Dartford where the official opening of their Performing Arts and Digital Creative Centre took place on Tuesday 11th October.
