COVID-19 update for schools
This page will keep you updated regarding the developments on the spread of Coronavirus and how it can have an impact on you and your students.
Given the current unprecedented situation of the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, we have implemented a range of precautionary measures aimed at mitigating risks of transmission to our students, staff and the wider community and I know most of you will be taking your own steps at this time.
With this at the forefront of our mind, I would like to notify you that the College doors are temporarily closed from Thursday 19th March 2020 but we’re still here for you! We’re now operating in a different way for the time being, but we’re certainly not closed. I would like to ensure you that you are still able to reach me via email or phone to discuss any outreach activities.
How will this effect school and college communications?
In short it won’t - I will be keeping you updated on all relevant and up-to-date College information so you and your pupils are fully aware of changing circumstances and intend to continuously support them in their transition from school to college. Please see below current updates:
Interviews for Applicants
We would like to notify you that we have cancelled March and April interviews and sent all those prospective learners a text and email notifying them of this and a Curriculum Manager from the area of their interest will phone them to keep in touch. We will likely rearrange their interview for June.
From March to June we would usually be offering campus tours, however these have been postponed but don’t worry in the meantime you can access our 360 virtual tour click here.
Talks and Events
Unfortunately, over the coming weeks I will not be able to attend school meetings or careers events due to circumstances beyond our control. However, meetings I had booked will be rearranged and any careers fair you have cancelled/postponed please let me know your plans for the future when you are able.
Please be assured once we are through these unprecedented times, we will be taking all possible measures we can to support your pupils.
