Dance (Year 2)

Year 2 of the Level 3 Dance course is a full time unique advanced dance training programme at The Miskin Theatre.  Dancers train following a unique industry model; under intense conditions, to prepare them for the auditions for vocational dance and musical theatre courses at colleges, applications for university or working in the industry.  As part of the programme you will have the opportunity to work with artists working in the industry.

You will participate in ballet, contemporary, choreography, jazz and tap classes alongside complementary musical theatre classes to support your ability to perform in a range of dance productions.  You will also have audition preparation classes with professionals currently working in the industry and be supported with completing applications for dance colleges and universities.

You will perform in two major productions open to the public at the Miskin Theatre alongside performing at other events.

The training is designed to challenge each performer to maximise their potential. You will also develop self awareness and personal development, which will not only teach you essential skills for your pathway but also core life skills.

As part of this programme you may be able to complete ISTD Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre Dance and Tap examinations (additional costs apply).
