Business (Year 1)

This is the ideal course if you want to develop the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a future career in Business, or if you’re intending to apply to university.

The Level 3 Diploma in Business, studied via two single year programme, covers various aspects of Business, from Finance and Economics to Marketing and Event Management.

During the first year of the course, you will study the Subsidiary Diploma in Business, which consists of six Units. The four mandatory Units are:-

- The Business Environment
- Business Resources
- Introduction to Marketing
- Business Communication

You can progress onto the Extended Diploma in Business in the second year, studying more specialist Units such as:-

- Accounting
- Marketing
- Economics
- HR & Recruitment

The Subsidiary Diploma in Business is equivalent to one A Level, and the Extended is equivalent to three A Levels.

Entry requirements?

5 GCSEs grades A* - C (9-4) including English, Mathematics and academically relevant subjects, such as Science, History, Geography, ICT or BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Business grade Merit or above with GCSE grade C (4) or above in English and Mathematics

What progression options will I have?

HNC or HND in Business, University Degree programme or employment in Business, Retail or Finance.
