Early Years

The aim of this qualification is to prepare learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to five years, and gain knowledge of children aged five to seven years.

This qualification will take 1 year to complete and is suitable for a range of learners from the age of 16 onwards who have some experience in childcare. It is also suitable for those wishing to progress to Higher Education. This qualification confers the licence to practise as an Early Years Educator. It is anticipated that CACHE EYE qualification will attract similar UCAS points to CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce and the Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education.

Entry requirements?

Age 16+, 6 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C, 10 days relevant vocational work experience, good school report, all learners required to undertake enhanced police check (DBS).

What progression options will I have?

Upon achievement of this qualification, it is intended that learners will be able to access higher education or enter the workforce as Early Years Educators.

Tuition Fees:

19+ Advanced Learning Loan - £2800

Exam and Registration Fees (payable by all aged 19 and over): £165

Other Costs (payable by all students): £100 Material fee contribution

How will I be assessed?

Learners must pass all units, complete longitudinal study and complete 3 externally set and marked assessments.
