Whether you want to set up your own company, oversee a department in a large corporation, help develop a family business, you will need the core business and employability skills this course can offer you.
You’ll learn all about how businesses are created and structured and the impact of individual departments and the business as a whole. We’ll help you learn all the skills and techniques required to effectively manage a business such as meeting deadlines, teamwork, negotiating skills, budgeting, economics, event management, marketing and alongside all of this, you’ll be developing a number of interpersonal skills and qualities that will help you in whatever career path you choose.
You can also apply for an internship with the ‘Career Ready’ programme and those who are successful can undertake a period of a minimum of 4 weeks paid work experience at Blue Chip companies situated in Canary Wharf or other similar locations.


Our Finance courses are perfect for anyone wishing to study accounting and finance and cover all the core accountancy skills. Our qualified staff have firsthand industry knowledge. 
You will be introduced to basic accountancy principles and techniques from costing and doubleentry bookkeeping to computerised accounts in readiness for you to progress into employment in such roles as payroll administrator or accounts assistant.  You will also be introduced to payroll systems, spreadsheet software and banking systems and you will develop your communication skills throughout
After completion of our AAT Accountancy courses, many of our students secure excellent posts with local and national accountancy firms and further their careers by undertaking part-time courses alongside employment.
Accountancy apprenticeships are also available at Levels 2 and 3.

What will I learn? 

In addition to your main qualification you will learn essential business and employment related skills such as; meeting deadlines, working as a team, interpersonal communication, negotiating skills and many more.  Our business and accountancy courses are designed to prepare you for the world of work and enable you to progress in your future career development. 


What qualification will I gain? 

Depending on the course you choose you can gain AAT Level 2, 3 and 4 in Accounting. A BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business and a BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary/ Extended Diploma in Business. CILEx Level 3 Certificate/Diploma in Law and Practice, the CILEx Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice. What progression options will I have? 

With our courses you are able to progress onto employment within the business, finance or retail sectors. Alternatively you can continue onto a university programme.

What costs are involved? 

Full-time further education courses are free for students aged 16-18, you may have to pay some or all of your fees if you are aged 19 plus, but please see our Student Finance page for further information. If you are enrolling on a part-time or higher education course, fees are applicable. 

Entry requirements? 

If you are enrolling on a Level 2 course you will need relevant GCSE qualifications, if higher than a Level 3, in most cases, you will need the Level below to move up. Please see individual course descriptions for accurate information.
