The Sports Coaching Department has exceptional facilities at the Dartford campus, including a large multi-purpose sport hall, sports fields and fitness centre.
The subject of Sports Coaching has seen steady growth in the last ten years and continues to support the educational and sporting needs of students, which attracts people of all abilities from North Kent and South London. Student enrichment is an important part of the Sports Coaching Department and allows for inter-college competition throughout the year including a boys and girls football academy delivered by our football providers APD.
Our courses include BTEC Level 1, NCFE Level 2 and NCFE Level 3 Diplomas. We also currently offer the QCF BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary and Extended Diploma in Sports Development, Coaching & Fitness. In addition, we offer students a number of National Governing Body Coaching Awards in a range of sports.
For those interested in Football Coaching, we have two new Coaching courses; these are the Level 3 NCFE Certificate/Diploma in Sport & Physical Activity (Sports Coaching) qualification. The NKC Football Academy gives students the opportunity to continue their studies whilst receiving professional coaching. Our boys and girls football academies are attached to the main program’s and provide the opportunity of full time training and competitive league fixtures. Please see our Football Academy scheme for more information.
