Students support Local Charity at Christmas

On Saturday 3rd December, students from the Level 3 Hospitality & Events Management course at North Kent College held a Christmas Fair in aid of Ellenor Hospice at the Dartford Campus.

They offered a range of craft stalls to the local community, as well as having children’s activities and the chance to meet Father Christmas in his grotto.

The students raised over £400 for the charity, and are planning to continue raising funds throughout the academic year with more events to be scheduled.

Helen Ward-Nixon, one of the college tutors in Hospitality & Events, commented that they “hope to continue to raise awareness of the importance of the hospice in addition to raising funds. The students all worked incredibly hard to pull this event together”.
