Miskin make-up students given the opportunity to learn from top industry brand.

Top make-up brand Urban Decay held a master class in our new make-up salons on Thursday 26th January, giving Miskin make-up students the opportunity to learn new industry skills.

Opportunities like these are given to the students during their training whilst at NKC, ensuring they gain valuable experience that is necessary in their future careers.

When asked why they offer master classes like these, Kirsty Djajasaputra; Urban Decay Representative, Make-up Artist and ex NKC student, replied “It encourages them to look for jobs within a brand. We want to inspire and empower, as well as being feminine and fun, which is what Urban Decay is all about”.

The students got to watch Kirsty apply a current make-up trend, and were given the chance to ask any questions. The make-up was also available to buy on the day at a discounted student price, so that they could take the skills they learnt and start using them straight away in classes and on potential clients.

One of the students commented “It was truly inspiring. New techniques and ideas were presented in a relatable way and the ideas will be able to be developed within my own make-up and the make-up of my clients”.
