Carpentry students use their skills to support a Primary School in need.

North Kent College Carpentry students put their skills to good use and helped West Borough Primary School in Maidstone when they were in urgent need of a welly rack.

Paula Martin, Assistant Headteacher at the school, said “We run a forest school here and the children have their waterproofs they wear down to the forest. My husband works at the college as a carpentry lecturer and I asked for his help to design a storage unit. The children were really excited to see it”.

After being given the challenge to design and make the rack as part of their coursework, the willing students were on hand to deliver it to the school.
