North Kent College had a very successful day at the annual Kent Choices North event held in conjunction with KCC at Woodville Halls, Gravesend last week. Kent Choices North is hosted for secondary school students who are looking towards their next steps in education and seeking advice and guidance with their progression routes.
NKC had several stands showcasing their apprenticeship offer, Further and Higher Education courses and live demonstrations from their makeup, hair and painting and decorating students. This was a fantastic opportunity for potential students to get involved and get a taste of the NKC provision.
Simon Bounds, KCC Training Manager, organiser of the very well attended event said “We had a fantastic response from the schools that attended the Kent Choices North event. Some people even got a haircut from North Kent College I believe. It was a very well attended event.”
The College was pleased with the amount of applications received on the day, and interest shown in their taster days being held at Dartford and Gravesend Campuses.
Claire Shearwood Burton, Head of Marketing commented “It was a great venue and ideal space to showcase some of our students’ work and skillsets. It is always an excellent opportunity to liaise with the local community, and this event is an ideal platform for promoting our brand and course offer.”
