In tribute of Jordan Dawes

27th February 2019

It is with a heavy heart that our wonderful student, Jordan Dawes, sadly passed away on Friday 22nd February after a short illness. There has been an overwhelming outpouring of support from around the footballing world to recognise the life of an extraordinary young woman. Jordan was a former Charlton youth player and represented Kent Football United as a goalkeeper. She was incredibly brave, determined and cared deeply about her teammates.

Jordan possessed a wicked sense of humour and was an influential member in all aspects of her life in and out of North Kent College. Jordan was admired by her team mates and the opposition and was often identified as a primary reason behind her team’s success. Her loss will be felt greatly by all the teams she represented.

Jordan joined the College in 2017 and demonstrated the attributes of an outstanding student and a wonderful human being. She was a distinction level learner. Although football remained Jordan’s focal point, she was a talented allrounder; capable of turning her hand to almost any sport, she was dynamic and possessed a “can do” attitude which was inspirational to those around her.
We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful young lady by our side at College and cherish the memories. Our thoughts are with Jordan’s family at this most difficult time.
