If you are in Year 12 and are having second thoughts about sixth form, don’t worry as you can still join us this September at North Kent College at our Dartford, Gravesend or Tonbridge campuses.
It doesn’t matter what you are studying now, we have many options for you to choose from including vocational courses, apprenticeships and T-Levels which will give you multiple employability skills.
You can swap to a Level 3 course or T-Level which is the equivalent to A-Levels and will allow you to progress onto University afterwards (our Level 3 courses can take 1 – 2 years.
What are vocational courses?
Vocational courses differ from A-Levels as they give you the skills employers are looking for and need within their business. Vocational courses allow you to start work at 18 or gives you the option to progress onto university if you want to continue expanding your knowledge and skills.
We have hundreds of courses to choose from covering a wide variety of subjects ranging from Arts, Business and Computing, Construction and Engineering, Sport, Hospitality, E-sports, Travel and so many more!. What are Apprenticeships?
An apprenticeship is a real job that gives you a learning platform to train and develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours in your chosen profession. 20% of your contracted working hours will be spent in training and development, either with us at college, or even in your workplace. The remainder of your time will be spent applying and developing your skills and knowledge deeper in your workplace.

What is a T-Level?
T Levels are new courses for 16–18-year-olds which follow GCSEs and are the equivalent to 3 A-levels. These 2-year courses, have been developed working with employers so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for skilled employment, higher study or apprenticeships.
We have T-Levels in multiple subject areas ranging from Construction and Engineering, Early Years, Healthcare, and more Find out more about all of our T-Levels here.
We want our students to get the most out of their education which is why we have invested heavily in state-of-the-art commercial standard facilities, so you can have a true experience of the equipment that you may be using in your future careers. Also, our tutors have worked in the industry that they specialise in, so you will learn from the very best that have multiple industry connections.
We also provide Higher Education courses for those looking to progress after their Further Education Course.
