It is an opportunity to hear from our partner emplo yers\, attend the Q&\;A sessions and explore a new vocational pathway w ith a potential start at North Kent College in September 2022 after GCSEs. Unsure what T Levels are? Think they might be the route for you? Want to discover a new vocational route? Then don’t miss this event as all will be explained!\nWe’re offering T levels in Construction and Engineering from this September at our Gravesend and Tonbridge campuses. Construction T Lev els will be delivered at our Tonbridge campus and Engineering T Levels at our Gravesend campus.\nPlease note this event will be held at GRAVESEND ca mpus but we will discuss our TONBRIDGE T Level offer also.\nWhat are T lev els?T Levels are new courses which follow GCSEs and are equivalent to 3 A Levels. They are 2 year courses which have been developed in collaboration with employers and they are designed to be the gold standard technical op tion for young people aged 16-19 and to meet the needs of industry and pre pare students for work\, future training or study.\nT Levels offer student s a mixture of classroom/workshop/laboratory learning based on the chosen T Level. They also offer on-the-job experience during an industry placemen t of at least 315 hours (approximately 45 days). Students get valuable exp erience in the workplace and employers get an early sight of the nee talen t in their industry.\nT Levels include:• Technical knowledge and practical skills specific to the student’s chosen industry or occupation. • An indu stry placement of at least 45 days in their chosen industry or occupation. • Relevant English and maths skills. • Common workplace skills. Students who achieve a T Level will get a nationally recognised certificate which e mployers will use as evidence in their recruitment.
