Miskin Radio

Miskin Radio is a local radio station for North Kent, covering Dartford and Gravesham and is based here at NKC. All presenters and production staff are either students at NKC, or volunteers from the local community - bringing a unique diversity of radio shows to the region.

The radio station was set up in April 2012 by Miskin Media with two objectives in mind; firstly to give Media students real experience in working within the broadcasting industry. And secondly, to provide the North of Kent with a local radio frequency, as it is the only area of Kent without one.

Since making its début on the internet as a live streaming community radio station, Miskin Radio has already made a name for itself locally. During the 2012 London Olympics, Miskin Radio was granted with an FM frequency by Ofcom to cover the Olympics in the local area.
