The T Level Technical Qualification for Engineering and Manufacturing (Level 3) consists of a core element and one occupational specialism selected for the qualification which is aligned to the industrial placement carried out by the student. The T Level includes an industrial placement with an employer focus on developing the practical and technical skills required for the occupation.
The occupational specialism falls under one of two main pathways.
Pathway 1 - Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing Occupational specialisms - E&E Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
Pathway 2 - Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing and Control Occupational specialisms - Fitting & Assembly techniques.
The programme provides a balance of both theoretical and practical activities complemented with computer-based exercises using the latest industry standard software packages.
Assessments will be completed by a combination of practical and theoretical papers conducted both internally and externally with a strong alignment to employer focused practical and technical skills required for the occupation.
One T-Level is equivalent to 3 A’ Levels and up to 168 UCAS points (AAA* distinction)

Entry Requirements
The T Level in Engineering requires applicants to have at least one grade 6 in Maths or Science with a minimum of a grade 5 in at least three other subjects, to include Maths/Science, English and one other technically related GCSE.
