North Kent College offers Public Services course, which provide you with the personal skills, experience and knowledge to succeed in many uniformed services roles.
You may already be aware of some career paths you can follow; such as a working in the Navy , Armed Forces, Police or Prison services or Ministry of Defence However, there are multiple other progression pathways you can take after achieving a Public Services qualification, take a look here :
Border Force
Our Level 3 qualification in Public Services will give you a great stepping stone to becoming a Border Force officer without needing to join as an apprentice and provides you with the knowledge required for your 5-week training as an officer.
Police Force
There are many different roles within the police you may not be aware of including terrorism prevention, preventing radicalisation programmes, community support officers, prison officers and transport officers. The Public services qualifications offered will allow you to progress to any of these roles.
Government Careers – Civil Service
You can find a role in the heart of your community with a Public Services qualification. It will give you the knowledge needed to pursue jobs in social work, city management and Civil Service.
