Acting for Camera (Year 2)

This qualification is the 2nd year of a two-year Extended Diploma in Performing & Production Arts. This course will suit you if you have already completed a UAL Diploma in Performing and Production Arts and want to top it up to an Extended Diploma.

This year will continue to help develop disciplines of acting skills, as well as screen performance technique for those who have an interest and passion for performing on screen. It will give you the opportunity to gain the qualifications, skills and experience to progress in the Performing Arts Industry or in any industry you wish to go on to study.

This course provides a professional training in theatre, and acting for Camera. The Miskin is run by experienced industry professionals who will work with you to develop your skills and confidence to support you in the craft of acting.

We will provide a training that is designed to help develop your skills specifically for screen as well as continuing to embed your core theatre training.

The Miskin will support you in becoming a well-trained, clear-thinking performer ready to take your first steps into the industry or higher education. You will also develop the skills that all employers are looking for, including team work, self-confidence, communication skills, self-motivation and the ability to meet targets.

What progression options will I have?

Higher Education, Drama Schools, studying on BA Hons and Foundation Degree level programmes.
Progression onto our L4 Professional Diploma in Performing Arts here at North Kent College

Tuition Fees:

19+ Advanced Learning Loan - £TBA
Exam and Registration Fees (payable by all aged 19 and over): £200

Other Costs (payable by all students): £75 Annual Theatre Pass

How will I be assessed?

All of your work will follow a vocational scenario or context that simulates a real-world situation.
This course is 100 % coursework. You will present your work in a range of formats.
You will be assessed on your research, development and experimentation and final outcomes and you will be encouraged to develop your work and professional practice through evaluation and self-reflection.
