Carpentry & Joinery

Learners will be taught by trade experienced, professional tutors in a well equipped, modern workshop in Gravesend.
The course is a mixture of practical and theory. Students will learn how to work safely in construction, relay information, calculate quantities and communicate with others, building methods and construction technology. They will learn how to make basic woodworking joints, how to maintain and use hand tools and portable power tools.

CITB Construction Skills Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery (Construction) -

Entry requirements?

Minimum GCSE grade D in mathematics and English supported by two grade Es, one in a science

What progression options will I have?

Employment in trade, fulltime level 2 course in either Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery, or an apprenticeship attending college 1 day a week.

What costs are involved?

Tuition Fees:
16-18 - free
19+ - £TBA (subject to Government funding)

Exam and Registration Fees (payable by all aged 19 and over): £105

Other Costs (payable by all students): £25 Material fee contribution
