Technical Theatre Arts

Working at the Miskin Theatre will allow you to develop your skills in all areas of Production Arts. This includes set design and construction, costume design and management, lighting, sound and stage management.

The Miskin Theatre has a unique and pioneering approach to training. We recognise that most of our technicians intend to make a career within the industry itself and we fully encourage and support progression.

Many of our technicians move on to drama schools and universities and also employment within the creative industries. Our success rates and progression testify to our success, as do the range of technicians now working or continuing their training in the creative industries.

“The curriculum is designed in a highly original way and provides learners with excellent opportunities to develop their skills” Ofsted 2010.

As a technician/designer you will gain many essential skills and experience that will benefit your future career. You will need to possess some skills already, but we will help you to develop them while you’re with us.
