    PUBLIC BUSES TO THE DARTFORD CAMPUS

    More information on bus routes is available on the Arriva Bus website or the KCC web page. The only public bus route that serves the Dartford Campus is the 429, which stops outside the gates in Oakfield Lane.

    FREE SHUTTLE BUS

    North Kent College offers students and staff a FREE shuttle bus service to help get to the Dartford Campus, from Dartford Town Centre (Home Gardens). Please be aware that this FREE shuttle bus service does not run during the holiday periods or during enrolment. The service starts on the first day of the new academic year.

    The use of the shuttle bus service is part of your college agreement and all guidance for the use of this service must be adhered to at all times.

    TRAVELLING BY TRAIN

    The closest train station to the Dartford Campus is Dartford Station which is in Oyster card Zone 8. You can catch the FREE North Kent College Shuttle Bus from the station to the Campus.

    TRAVELLING BY CAR

    If driving to the Dartford Campus you can get here easily on the A2.

    We have ample FREE parking available at the Dartford Campus. However, we would suggest using public transport if you can, to help the environment and ease traffic congestion.

    PUBLIC BUSES TO THE GRAVESEND CAMPUS

    Arriva offer weekly, 4 weekly, termly and annual tickets to all students. The annual ticket can be paid for monthly by debit card. Depending on where you are travelling from you can use The Arriva Kent & Medway Student Saver Ticker or The Arriva Thameside Student Saver Ticket.

    For travel on buses between Dartford and Gravesend, you now have to change at Gravesend train Station.

    You will need to get the 480 at any stop between Dartford and Gravesend and request a TRANSFER ticket if you do not already hold a weekly/monthly/termly/annual or KCC 16+ Travel saver card.

    This TRANSFER ticket will allow you to get on and off the 480 and catch the connecting bus (480A or 490A) from Gravesend Train Station to the Gravesend Campus (Dickens Road stop).

    On your return journey you will need to get off at Stop E at Gravesend Train Station and pick up the 480 from stop C. If requesting for a day ticket please ensure you ask for the TRANSFER ticket.

    TRAVELLING BY TRAIN

    The closest train station to the Gravesend Campus is Gravesend Station. You can catch a 480A or 490A bus from the station to the Gravesend Campus.

    TRAVELLING BY CAR

    If driving to the Gravesend campus, you can take the Gravesend East junction on the A2 and head towards Gravesend.

    TRAVELLING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

    The nearest bus stop to the College is Springwell Road, with regular bus services to various towns in Kent (including Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and Maidstone).

    Tonbridge railway station has frequent trains to London, Ashford, Dover, Folkestone, Thanet, Hastings and Redhill for Gatwick Airport. Tonbridge students only, can obtain a 20% discount on rail travel by printing and producing the discount form which can be found by clicking here. All students will need to show their student ID card as proof.

    The College is just 3 minutes away from the A21/A26 junction, ensuring easy access from Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and up to London.

    PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO HADLOW MAIN CAMPUS

    The bus stop outside the College is served regularly by buses travelling between Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells via Tonbridge railway station. Students are eligible for a discount on Arriva buses between Tonbridge and Hadlow, for more information, speak to our Student Support Services team.

    Hadlow College is located on the A26 Tonbridge Road. We’re 15 minutes drive from A21/A26 junction at Tonbridge, 6 minutes drive from the A228 junction at Seven Mile Lane, and just 16 minutes way from the M20 junction 4.

    PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO GREENWICH EQUESTRIAN CENTRE

    There is a bus stop (Oxleas Wood Woodlands Farm) just 85 metres from the entrance to the campus on Shooters Hill.

    Welling railway station is 22 minutes walk from the campus. The station provides regular services into London Victoria, Cannon Street and Charing Cross.

    The Royal Borough of Greenwich Equestrian Centre is located on the A207 Shooters Hill, meaning easy access from the A2 and the South Circular Road. There is free on-site parking.

    TRAVELLING BY CAR

    TRAVELLING BY BUS

    Over 60 buses visit Bluewater each hour and connect well with other routes. Express services are also provided by Arriva and these link Bluewater with Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham.

    TRAVELLING BY TRAIN

    The closest station is Greenhithe station, upon arrival. You can get a shuttle bus from the station, Fastrack A towards Bluewater or Fastrack B towards Dartford or Temple Hill.

    Travelling by train is easy, with high-speed train services making train travel between London and Kent even quicker. The high-speed service takes just 20 minutes from St Pancras to Ebbsfleet, with Fastrack buses to Bluewater taking just 15 minutes from Ebbsfleet station. Trains run regularly from multiple London stations and Medway towns.

    Ebbsfleet International and Dartford railway station are a short Fastrack bus ride away from The Bridge. Take Fastrack A and alight at the District Centre stop.

    Kent County Council 16+ Travel Saver

    Kent County Council 16+ Travel Saver

    Designed for students who are a resident in Kent, aged 16-19 years old and in education, this will save approximately 50% of what you may pay if you bought an annual season ticket from a bus operator. It is valid throughout the year, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Applications and payments must be made directly to Kent County Council online for KCC 16+ Travel Saver card, click here.

    Where is the Travel Saver Card sent to?

    All Travel Saver cards are sent by KCC to the College Student Bursary department who will contact the student on receipt and can be collected during the advertised opening times. Where a Travel Saver card is not received by the start of term, the student must make arrangements to fund their travel until the pass is received.

    Oyster Card

    Students travelling from a London Borough will be required to use their free 16+ or 18+ Oyster photo card within the Oyster catchment area (taking advantage of the free or reduced travel). Students making the onward journey from outside of the Oyster card catchment area may be awarded a travel payment for the remainder of their journey.

    Railcard

    If you’re aged 16 or 17 you should apply for the 16-17 Saver railcard which can offer you 50% off train fares. Please see the following website for more information.
