The course is a mixture of practical and theory, with the majority of the time spent in the workshop developing the hand skills needed to build cavity walls, solid walls, blockwork and the ability to transfer levels. In the class the learners will know how to work safely in construction, relay information, calculate quantities, communicate with others and knowledge of construction technology.
The learners will also undertake two functional skills in English and maths at a level to suit and stretch their abilities
The learners will be taught by highly qualified tutors with years of trade experience in well equipped workshops. The programme runs over 3 days a week.

What qualification will I gain?

CITB Construction Skills Diploma in Bricklaying (Construction)

Entry requirements?

Minimum GCSE grade D in mathematics and English supported by two grade Es, one preferably in science

What progression options will I have?

Employment within the construction industry, an apprenticeship as a bricklayer attending college 1 day a week, fulltime level 2 diploma in brickwork

19+ - £TBA (subject to Government funding)

Exam and Registration Fees (payable by all aged 19 and over): £105

Other Costs (payable by all students): £25 Material fee contribution
