HELLO THERE. We are the Creative Studios at North Kent College, and we are pleased to extend this invitation to interview for 2D Animation and Concept Art which should last no longer than 30 minutes. Please arrive ten minutes early and report to college reception. We do require all three items highlighted below, otherwise we cannot make you an offer. GOOD LUCK!
STEP 1: PORTFOLIO
Bring along a portfolio of work, these can include:
- Drawings / Sketches
- Research / Coursework
- Thumbnails / Concepts
- Mood-boards / Idea Generation
- Photography / Mark-Making
If you don’t have a portfolio, don’t worry, bring along anything you have produced creatively for us to take a look at.
STEP 2: SCHOOL REPORT & GRADE SHEETS
We would like to see a copy of your most recent school or college report (for applicants aged under 19 years). If you have been issued a predicted grade sheet, please also bring this with you. If you have already completed a qualification, please bring confirmation of grade with you.
STEP 3: INTERVIEW TASK
We require you to complete a task for interview, please complete one of the two options below:
- Design and illustrate your own original character, this can be produced by hand or computer generated. Please also include a character bio.
- Design a storyboard for an animation of your choice, this again can be produced by hand or be computer generated.
