HELLO THERE. We are the Creative Studios at North Kent College, and we are pleased to extend this invitation to interview for 3D Animation and VR which should last no longer than 30 minutes. Please arrive ten minutes early and report to college reception. We do require all three items highlighted below, otherwise we cannot make you an offer. GOOD LUCK!
STEP 1: PORTFOLIO
Bring along a portfolio of work, these can include:
- Drawings / Sketches
- Research / Coursework
- Thumbnails / Concepts
- Mood-boards / Idea Generation
- Photography / Mark-Making
If you don’t have a portfolio, don’t worry, bring along anything you have produced creatively for us to take a look at.
STEP 2: SCHOOL REPORT & GRADE SHEETS STEP 3: INTERVIEW TASK
We would like to see a copy of your most recent school or college report (for applicants aged under 19 years). If you have been issued a predicted grade sheet, please also bring this with you. If you have already completed a qualification, please bring confirmation of grade with you.
STEP 3: INTERVIEW TASK
Choose one of the two tasks below:
- Create a simple 3D environment. This could be one which already exists (such as a room in your house) or your own design and can be computer generated or drawn by hand.
- Create a storyboard for an animation of your choice. This could also be drawn digitally or by hand.
