HELLO THERE. We are the Creative Studios at North Kent College, and we are pleased to extend this invitation to interview for Art which should last no longer than 60 minutes. Please arrive ten minutes early and report to college reception. We do require all three items highlighted below, otherwise we cannot make you an offer. GOOD LUCK!
STEP 1: PORTFOLIO
Bring along a portfolio of work, these can include:
- Drawings / Sketches
- Research / Coursework
- Thumbnails / Concepts
- Mood-boards / Idea Generation
- Photography / Mark-Making
If you don’t have a portfolio, don’t worry, bring along anything you have produced creatively for us to take a look at.
STEP 2: SCHOOL REPORT & GRADE SHEETS
We would like to see a copy of your most recent school or college report (for applicants aged under 19 years). If you have been issued a predicted grade sheet, please also bring this with you. If you have already completed a qualification, please bring confirmation of grade with you.
STEP 3: TASK SHEET
We require you to complete the task below in time for your interview: Describe any artistic experiences you have had, these could include visiting exhibitions, work submitted to competitions or awards you have received for your art. Then write a written response to the following: Describe at least 2 artists work you like and explain why. What area of Art are you hoping to work within in the next few years? What is it that you like about Art the most and why?
