HELLO THERE. We are the Creative Studios at North Kent College, and we are pleased to extend this invitation to interview for Photography which should last no longer than 60 minutes. Please arrive ten minutes early and report to college reception. We do require all three items highlighted below, otherwise we cannot make you an offer. GOOD LUCK!
STEP 1: PORTFOLIO
Bring along a portfolio of work, these can include:
- Drawings / Sketches
- Research / Coursework
- Thumbnails / Concepts
- Mood-boards / Idea Generation
- Photography / Mark-Making
If you don’t have a portfolio, don’t worry, bring along anything you have produced creatively for us to take a look at.
STEP 2: SCHOOL REPORT & GRADE SHEETS
We would like to see a copy of your most recent school or college report (for applicants aged under 19 years). If you have been issued a predicted grade sheet, please also bring this with you. If you have already completed a qualification, please bring confirmation of grade with you.
STEP 3: INTERVIEW TASK
You must prepare (as a word document or PDF) a short, written piece. This will be a supporting statement to your application. Please include the following: A summary of your background, skills, and strengths as an artist/photographer. Tell us about any photographic experiences you have had including exhibitions, projects, working with or for others, or other relevant information. Tell us who inspires you. This could be famous photographers.
