Why did you choose North Kent College?

I Chose to study at North Kent College because the equipment was better than any other school or college that I had looked at. The tutors were really enthusiastic about what they did and seemed really eager to help every student progress.

What were the best three things about studying at North Kent College?

The relationship between the students and tutors.
The equipment available for the students to take out and use.
The freedom to make your own creative choices on your projects.

Where have you progressed to since leaving NKC?

I went to Staffordshire University to study Experimental Film Production; which was my first choice for University. In the summer after I graduated, I was awarded a Television Production & Broadcast Journalism Bursary from the Royal Television Society (I was one of only 22 first year University students to be awarded this in the UK). I am proud to say that on my first film at the University, the crew that I worked with won an award for Best Experimental Film.

Would you recommend studying at the College and why?

Yes- going to NKC is an experience like no other. The things you learn and the memories you make are invaluable.

Any other advice for future students?

The best advice I could give is to take every opportunity that you are given, to work with students from other courses, and take all opportunities to be part of projects outside of your course- those might be the ones you enjoy the most!

Describe your whole College experience.

NKC gave me the confidence to believe that I can achieve anything that I put my mind to, the tutors see what you are capable of before you do.
