Today (24 September) is National Fitness Day, a celebration of the power of physical activity to boost our physical and mental wellbeing.
It’s also a timely reminder of the vital role fitness professionals play in helping others lead healthier, more active lives, something we take seriously here at North Kent College.
According to Harvard Health, “exercise provides a remarkable variety of health benefits, which range from strengthening bones to positive effects on mood and helping to prevent chronic illnesses.”
It makes sense, then, that regular physical activity should be a key part of our routine, whether that’s weight training, cardio, or a combination of both.
Personal Trainers are essential in helping people get the most out of their workouts. They teach proper form, offer personalised fitness plans, and provide expert advice on nutrition and recovery. Sports Science complements this by exploring the mechanics of the human body, drawing on biology, psychology and physiology to understand how we move and perform.
Whether students are passionate about helping others reach their goals or fascinated by the science behind movement and mindset, North Kent College’s courses provide a strong foundation.
Our Personal Training and Sports Science courses are offered at our Dartford and Tonbridge campuses, and give students access to top class facilities, including a large multi-purpose sports hall, three sports fields, a strength and conditioning room and a fitness suite.
