John Lasseter
John studied character animation at the new California Institute of the Arts, before joining Disney as an animator in 1979. He is best known for his work on many of the Pixar classics including Toy Story, Cars and Inside Out.
William Hanna and Joseph Barbera
Hanna and Barbera are best known for co-founding the Hanna-Barbera animation studio. The studio were responsible for many significant cartoons including The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, Yogi Bear and The Smurfs.
Matt Groening
Matt Groening is best known for creating the beloved American cartoon, The Simpsons. Groening began drawing cartoons at an early age, but he actually focused on journalism while attending Evergreen State College. He then started his career as a comic strip artist before moving on to animation.
Rebecca Sugar
Rebecca is best known for being the creator of the Cartoon Network series Steven Universe, making her the first non-binary person to independently create a series for the network. Rebecca got her Bachelor's Degree in Animation at the School of Visual Arts and found work on the hit cartoon Adventure Time right out of college.
