With GCSE results day just around the corner, now is the perfect time to start thinking about what comes next.
For students preparing to receive their GCSE results on Thursday 20 August, we’re reminding prospective students that there are still opportunities to join our colleges at Dartford, Gravesend and Tonbridge for September 2026.
Choosing college for your next step can be an exciting opportunity to explore a subject you’re passionate about, gain practical skills and qualifications, make new friends and start building the experience you need for your future career. You can stay studying locally, benefit from outstanding facilities and get loads of support along the way.
Whether you already know what you want to study, are waiting to see what your results look like or are still deciding between your options, planning ahead can help you feel more confident about your next step.
Get support after you receive your results
North Kent College’s GCSE Information Days are on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August, from 10am to 4pm, giving young people the opportunity to visit our colleges at Dartford, Gravesend and Tonbridge and talk through options following results day.
The Information Days are for students who have not yet applied to North Kent College and are interested in starting in September 2026.
Potential students can simply drop in and report to the main reception, where College staff and careers teams will be available to discuss course options, answer questions and help them decide on their next step.
So, whether your results are higher than expected, not quite what you were hoping for or simply leave you with questions about your options, the College team is there to help.
Please note that students will not enrol during the Information Days. A full interview must take place before enrolment can go ahead.
Haven’t decided yet? There’s still time
If you need more time to make your decision, or you are unable to attend the GCSE Information Days, there’s no need to panic.
Late enrolment sessions will take place between 1 and 4 September, and North Kent College may still have spaces available for September 2026.
You can also call the College on 01322 629400 to discuss your options.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before results day. But knowing where to go for advice and understanding your options can make the next step much easier.
