Today (1st November) is National Engineering Day! It is an annual celebration to honour the contributions that engineers make to society. Beyond the festivities, it is a day to reflect on the profound impact that engineering has on our lives.
The event was created by the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2019, as they continue to spread awareness and highlight the difference that engineers make to our future.
Zippia claims that the global tech industry is valued at £4.2 trillion as of 2023. Engineering expertise is supposedly the backbone of this increased value.
The Royal Academy of Engineering also run an ‘Everyday Engineering Competition’. Encouraging people to submit their innovative ideas, as voting takes place today. To find out more, visit their website.
