Every year on 21 August, we honour World Entrepreneurship Day, a global celebration dedicated to recognising the visionaries, thinkers, and risk-takers who drive economic growth and innovation.

Established in 2010, this international awareness day highlights the vital role entrepreneurs play in improving lives, creating jobs, and shaping vibrant communities. It’s a time to reflect on the courage, creativity, and tenacity of individuals who turn ideas into impactful ventures.

Entrepreneurs are vitally important as they stimulate economies by spotting opportunities, navigating risk, and forging innovative solutions. They launch new enterprises, boost employment, and often pioneer technologies and services that address societal needs

World Entrepreneurship Day is a reminder that starting a business or launching a freelance career is possible with the right training and dedication and our business courses at North Kent College, aim to prepare students for success in the industry.

Learners explore key areas such as marketing, project management, budgeting and teamwork, all while developing essential employability skills like critical thinking, communication, negotiation and leadership.
