Today (16 May) is National Drawing Day, a celebration of creativity, imagination and self-expression through drawing.
Launched by the National Gallery of Ireland, the day invites people of all ages and skill levels to take part in creative activities, whether at home or through events hosted by museums, libraries, and cultural organisations.
National Drawing Day is about participation - you don’t have to be a professional artist, you just need a pencil and a bit of curiosity. Whether you’re sketching a quick doodle or experimenting with something more ambitious, today is all about exploring the joy of putting pen (or pencil) to paper.
Here at North Kent College, we nurture artistic talent at every level. Our Art courses help students build confidence in a wide range of creative techniques, from traditional drawing and painting to sculpture, screen printing, mixed media, and digital art.
With studio-based learning, inspiring trips, professional exhibitions, and expert tutors guiding you throughout, it’s the perfect place to grow your skills and discover your creative path.
