At North Kent College, we’re proud to once again show our support for World Mental Health Day on Friday 10 October 2025 - a day that brings people around the world together to raise awareness, spark conversation, and take action for better mental wellbeing.

Why this day matters

This year’s theme, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is “Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.”

In challenging times - from global crises to personal struggles - access to quality mental health support is vital. This theme reminds us that care and compassion must remain priorities, even when the world feels uncertain.

Support that lasts all year

We understand that college life can bring new pressures - from adjusting to independence to managing workloads and personal challenges. That’s why NKC offers ongoing support, including:

  •  A professional and confidential counselling service
  •  Dedicated Mental Health and Counselling Coordinators
  •  A proactive Welfare and Safeguarding Team ready to listen and help

Our goal is simple: to ensure every student and staff member feels supported, valued, and able to thrive.

Get involved

Whether you attend an event, talk to a friend, or simply take a moment to check in with yourself, every small action matters. Let’s make mental health everyone’s business - not just today, but every day.
