Two students working in electrical workshop

On this course, learners can advance their understanding of the techniques and practices used within the Electrical and Building Service industries. Learners practise the installation of domestic and industrial wiring and electrical components including circuit breakers, consumer units, lighting and power circuits, in accordance with industry standard regulations. The course focuses on developing the hands-on use of tools and components to complete real installations and develops students' theoretical knowledge of the underpinning maths and science which explain how these systems work.

Our Study Programme includes the potential to take part in an industry placement in a sector relevant to your qualification after giving the opportunity of gaining a recognised site card, such as CSCS/ECS. The programme is designed to give you the skill set, required to start work at the end of your studies or progress into an apprenticeship.
