Beauty - Spa Therapy
Level 3 is ideal if you've worked in Beauty Therapy for some time or have completed a Level 2 Beauty Therapy course. Your work might involve supervising others or managing resources. You want to develop your skills further, perhaps to gain specialist skills or move into a management role.
These qualifications can help you build a range of different careers in the beauty industry, including:
• Beauty Therapist
• Beauty Consultant
• Make-Up Artist
• Spa Therapist
• Nail Technician
This course also includes the opportunity to take part in an industry placement in a sector relevant to your qualification and study programme. The placement will take place 1 or 2 days per week on the days when you are not in college studying. Industry placements are designed to give you the skills to start work at the end of your studies, progress into an apprenticeship, or to add to your UCAS statement.
What qualification will I gain?
City and Guilds Diploma in Body & Spa Therapy Level 3
Successful achievement of the department’s interview process.
You will need a Level 2 Qualification in Beauty Therapy/ Level 2 Diploma in hair & Media make -up. You must also produce a positive report and attendance records. You must also pass the Level 3 entrance test based on anatomy and physiology.
What progression options will I have?
You could progress into employment or to a Level 4 qualification in Advanced Techniques or Management, such as: City & Guilds Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy Techniques.

Exam and Registration Fees (payable by all aged 19 and over): £115
Other Costs (payable by all students): £60 Material fee contribution and £40 Trip

How will I be assessed?
To gain this qualification, candidates must successfully achieve the following assessments: • One externally set, externally moderated assignment
• One externally set, externally marked test, sat under examination conditions
