Our Level 3 Beauty students at Tonbridge enjoyed a professional facial demonstration delivered by Charlotte from Clarins.
The session provided an in-depth look at industry-standard facial techniques, including product selection for different skin types and Clarins’ unique ‘suction’ cleansing method, designed to protect the skin and prevent premature ageing. Students explored a range of professional products - such as comfort scrubs, cleansers and exfoliators - and gained a clearer understanding of how each is used within a salon treatment. Many highlighted the facial exfoliation demonstration as a favourite, praising the clear guidance on choosing and applying products correctly.

Alongside the practical skills, Charlotte shared valuable advice to help learners prepare for real-world salon environments. This included the importance of confident client communication, strong product knowledge and how to offer gentle, personalised recommendations during treatments. Students were encouraged to build trust with clients through professionalism, expertise and confidence.
Charlotte also introduced the Clarins College Enrichment Programme, an exciting opportunity available to the top six Level 3 Beauty students from Tonbridge and the top six from Dartford as part of their second year. The programme includes a training day at Clarins Head Office, where learners complete an introductory course and receive a certificate, followed by skin spa auditions held at the college. During these auditions, Clarins spa managers conduct interviews and trade tests – involving two treatments. At the end of the process, successful students may even be offered potential career opportunities with Clarins.
Our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and left feeling motivated, inspired and are now very keen to work with Clarins. A huge thank you to Charlotte for her time, expertise and inspiring our beauty students.
