Our industry professional theatres and studios provide the perfect environment to train in your chosen specialism. Our team of professionals will offer you training which is unrivalled in the country.

Through working within a performing arts company, on a diverse range of productions, you will learn skills and be provided with the very best learning experience possible.

At the Miskin Theatre we recognise your creativity and your ambitions and prepare you for the next step in your training and ultimately, entry into the industry. 

There are visits to theatres and film sets, plus collaboration with our beauty, hair, music and media departments, to make the course vibrant, exciting and industry relevant. Our actors get to showcase their work at a variety of theatres, festivals, competitions and professional screenings, including the ‘British Film Institute’

What qualification will I gain?

  • Level 2 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts

  • Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts

  • Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts

  • UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma in Performance

      

What progression options will I have?

Many performers move on to major drama schools and Universities to complete their BA Hons, including RADA, Arts Educational Schools, Bristol Old Vic, LAMDA, Rose Bruford, Guildhall, Central, Dartington, Mountview, Manchester MET, Universities of Sussex, Kent, Edinburgh and many other.

Some performers choose to stay with us at NKC and complete their Level 4 Professional Diploma in Acting.

 

What costs are involved?

Annual Company Contribution- £75 (including Annual Ticket Pass to all internal productions) payable on Enrolment Day.

Additional costs: uniform/equipment approx £100.

Entry requirements?

Level 2
4 GCSEs at grade 3 (D in old grading system) or above which must include English and/or Maths.
Level 3 Diploma

5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C in old grading system) or above which must include English and/or Maths or a Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts at merit grade with ideally GCSE English and Maths at minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.

Level 3 Ext Diploma
UAL Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts.

Level 4
Applicants must be 18 years or older and have achieved a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts merit grade,or A-Levels (C and above, including Drama/Performing Arts). Ideally GCSE English and Maths at minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
