Students supporting charity afternoon events.

Hospitality and Catering students from North Kent College teamed up with Gravesend-based charity, ellenor, to help raise more than £1,000 for the much-loved local cause.

The four students supported the charity’s Afternoon Tea fundraiser which was hosted to raise vital funds for the charity’s work supporting families facing life-limiting illnesses.

Their dedication and commitment drew praise from the charity, with Sarah Williams, Fundraising Assistant for Ellenor, saying: “They looked incredibly smart, conducted themselves with great professionalism, and were an enormous help throughout the day, we quite literally couldn’t have done it without them.

“We’ve hosted this event a few times in the past but having them involved this year truly added something special. They are an absolute credit to the College, who should be very proud of them working to such a high standard for us. Thank you again for being part of our Afternoon Tea, and to them for being simply brilliant!”

Michelle Wildish, Lecturer in Catering at North Kent College, added: “We are incredibly proud of our students for the way they represented the College and our department. Events like this give them valuable real-world experience, while also supporting our community. They should be proud of the impact they made.”

North Kent College’s offers a range of hospitality and catering courses at its Tonbridge and Gravesend campuses.
