North Kent College’s Dartford campus welcomed employers and local authority partners from the adult social care sector for a Health and Social Care Employer Advisory Event on Tuesday (3 February 2026).

The morning event brought together representatives from care providers, charities and local authorities for a briefing, curriculum discussion and guided campus tour. The session focused on strengthening collaboration between the College and the sector, helping to ensure Health and Social Care provision continues to reflect current workforce needs and professional practice.

The event kicked off at 9.30am and finished at midday, but some attendees remained on site afterwards to access pre-booked Hair and Beauty services delivered by students as part of their practical learning.

The event provided an opportunity for employers to engage directly with curriculum teams, share insight into skills priorities within adult social care and discuss how partnership working can support both learners and employers. Attendees also toured facilities at the Dartford campus and saw learning environments in use.

Stacie Collings, Assistant Principal, North Kent College, said: “Working in close partnership with employers is central to how we shape our Health and Social Care curriculum. Events like this allow us to listen directly to the sector, ensure our provision reflects current workforce priorities, and strengthen progression routes that support students to develop the skills, confidence, and professional behaviours needed to succeed in Health and Social Care.”

North Kent College works closely with employers across the care sector to inform curriculum development, strengthen progression routes and support high-quality training for students preparing to enter the workforce.
