Laterz exhibition

This month, our Creative Digital Design department hosted its Laterz End of Year Exhibition at North Kent College in Dartford, celebrating the creativity, innovation and achievements of its students.

The event, which was open to the public, attracted a large number of visitors, including friends, family members, industry guests, and members of the local community. Students showcased an impressive variety of their work, demonstrating the skills, creativity, and technical expertise they have developed throughout the academic year.

From graphic design portfolios and architectural concepts to product design projects and animated storytelling, the exhibition highlighted the breadth of talent within the department, which includes UAL Level 3 Graphic Design, UAL Level 3 Architecture, Interior & Product Design, and UAL Level 3 and Level 4 Next Gen Animation & Visual Storytelling.

A particular highlight of the evening was a screening of original animated short films created by our Next Gen Animation & Visual Storytelling students. The screening proved extremely popular, with audiences enjoying the opportunity to see the students’ creativity and storytelling brought to life on the big screen.

LATERZ EXHIBITION

Level 3 Extended Diploma Animation student Ethan Larcher reflected on the experience, saying:

"It was a really fun night, being able to share the work we've been doing with the public, as well as our friends and family."

The End of Year Exhibition provided students with a valuable opportunity to present their work in a professional exhibition setting, celebrate their achievements, and gain feedback from visitors and industry professionals.

Head of Department Dave Dunne said:

"The End of Year Exhibition is always one of the highlights of our academic calendar. It gives our students the opportunity to showcase the incredible work they have produced throughout the year and celebrate the dedication, creativity, and resilience they have shown. The quality of work on display was outstanding, and we are incredibly proud of everything our students have achieved. It was wonderful to see so many visitors engaging with the exhibition and supporting the next generation of creative talent."
